Campus Light and Campus Full

What separates Campus Light from Campus Full, how to tell which one you have, and how to request Campus Full. Without prices.

Campus comes in two stages. A manufacturer can provide Campus Light for your institution. Campus Full adds to it. This article applies to institutions and says what differs. It gives no prices: the logic of the prices is on the Pricing page.

How to tell which one you have

Under Subscription & requests (it shows My requests first; the cards are on the tab Overview), the card at the top shows Campus Light, and with a manufacturer as provider “Campus Light – provided by …”. With Campus Full it shows the Campus license with origin and term. Only with Campus Light is there the button Request Campus Full and a dedicated Studio.

If an area is missing, Campus says on opening it by link: “This area is part of Campus Full”. In the menu, Announcements and Live training are missing altogether.

What both have

Campus Light and Campus Full both have: learner management, learning paths and assignment, courses from providers and your own SCORM content in the content sources, the analytics with compliance, exam results and team comparison, Our institution and Subscription & requests. Courses a provider supplies stay available to your learners with Campus Light too.

What Campus Full adds

“Campus Full adds announcements, live training, active lecturers and your own Studio for creating courses to Campus Light.” In detail:

With Campus FullWithout Campus Full
Announcements to your learners, see Post an announcementnot available
Live training with events, attendance, quiz, feedback, materials and recordings, see Create a live training eventnot available. Learners see no event quizzes, no feedback, no materials and no recordings.
Active lecturers (Contributor access)not available
Your own Studio: create your own courses and offer them to your learners, the Content quality analysisnot available. Studio is not included in the workspace.
Under Branding source the choice Use workspace brandingown branding only, see Institution and branding
Hub: people and roles, Organization & Settings with custom domains, Contract & usage, activity log, see Fracto at a glance: apps and rolesnot available
Appointing further Campus managers in your institution yourselfnot available

Learners see your own Studio courses only with Campus Full. If an institution goes back from Full to Light, the provider’s courses stay visible, but own Studio courses and the live training features for learners do not.

What does not depend on Light or Full

“My files” is a separate switch per workspace, off by default in both stages, see Have “My files” switched on.

Request Campus Full

  1. In Campus, open Subscription & requests and the tab Overview.
  2. In the card “Campus Full + dedicated Studio” below Campus Light, click Request Campus Full and a dedicated Studio.
  3. If you like, add a Message to Fracto (optional), for example the start date you want, and click Send request.

The request does not activate anything yet and incurs no direct costs. It appears under My requests as “Campus Full + dedicated Studio”. According to Campus, a first reply comes within 24 hours. More about the page is in Subscription and requests.

You see and can use the button only with the task Manage Campus.
